About Shiro Kunimitsu
Shiro Kunimitsu is a family of blacksmiths based in the Yanagawa clan during the Edo period, who have inherited the blood of the Goban Kaji.
The family has inherited the skills and spirit of its predecessor, Shiro Kunimitsu, and produces each sword by hand without any compromise.
Five swordsmiths work together in one place to produce Japanese swords and knives, each in his own style.

The forged black-hammered kitchen knives are made from Yasugi steel, which is the closest steel to Japanese swords.

Forged Kurouchi knives are forged more to increase the tenacity and strength of the steel, which improves the sharpness of the knife and allows it to be used for a longer time.

Because they are made entirely from steel, the whole piece is prone to rusting.
*Please rinse the knives clean after use, remove water and store them.

【 四郎國光とは 】
四郎國光は江戸期柳河藩を拠点に活動する御番鍛治の血を引き継ぐ鍛冶屋一家です。
先代四郎國光の技と魂を受け継ぎ、一本一本手作業で一切妥協を許さずに製作しております。
ひとつのところで５人の刀匠がそれぞれの作風を生かしながら日本刀や包丁を製作しております。

この鍛造黒打包丁には日本刀に最も近い安来鋼【やすきはがね】を使用しています。

鍛造黒打包丁は、鋼の粘りと強度が増すことで、切れ味を良くし、長く使っていただけるようにより多くの鍛錬をしています。

鉄だけで作っているため、全体がサビやすいです。
※包丁は使用後、きれいに水洗いし、水分を取り保管ください。
